In 2015 I had the absolute honour of co-editing Sydney University’s literary journal, Hermes, with three wonderful, talented women – poets Tahlia Chloe, Elle Burchell, and Phoebe Corleone (I was the only non-poet in the mix!). Hermes is the oldest literary journal in the Southern Hemisphere, and it takes submissions from current and past students and staff of the University. Our theme was ‘Manufactured,’ and we asked contributors to think about and explore the repetitious actions and minute variations in daily activities that eventually make us who we are.
David Malouf was kind enough to give the keynote address, and my life was pretty much made (as pictured above – Elle, David and me, trying not to scream).
